Manreeve is a Theatre Director and Writer based in London. Originally from Kent, he also works regionally across the Midlands and Yorkshire.

Manreeve’s work centres on systems that trap people, and the contradictions of being both complicit and exploited within them. He implicates the audience,  luring them in with humour then exposing the system at play, pushing the audience to identify their role in it. 

In 2026, Manreeve wrote and directed his debut play Wang Bang Willy Wagon to a sold-out run, now in transfer development to the King's Head. He is a member of the 2026 Roundhouse Works Cohort and took part in the Director-Designer Workshop at the National Theatre, led by Anthony Lau and Georgia Lowe.

From 2022–2024, he was Assistant Director at Secret Cinema, supporting large-scale, site-specific productions including Ghostbusters, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Diablo IV.

Manreeve studied International Business at the University of Kent, then spent three years working in London before walking away to train himself as a director and writer. He developed his craft through reading, workshops, YouTube, and shadowing directors including Justin Audibert at Chichester Festival Theatre, Josh Roche and Seán Linnen at the RSC, among others.

Alongside theatre, Manreeve creates immersive and experiential work for brands, film, TV, and gaming launches. This uses theatre making tools to build ensemble-led work where performers, designers, and space build the story together, prioritising presence, rhythm, and shared experience. More on that here.
